We are a project based company.  We have found this to be our most successful approach to doing BI work.  The outcome of our project based work is high quality results.  Our goal is never to maximize the amount of time we spend on a project, but to maximize results, and ultimately, business value.

Types of Projects

We work on anything which involves data.  We move data.  We shape it.  We visualize it.  In other words, we can do everything from building your Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to tweaking a simple report.  Nothing is too big or small for us. 

Methodology

We follow an Agile with Scrum methodology.  From start to finish, we keep you informed of our progress and show you working deliverables at short periodic intervals. 

Cost

For Mariner's level of quality, we are very competitively priced.  We love to use accelerators and frameworks that speed up our work, but don't drop quality.  Unlike our competition, we offer fixed price projects, in addition to regular time & materials type of engagements.  Read more about our flexible engagement model.

Success

We have won numerous awards, including Microsoft's Partner of the Year and TDWI's Best Practice award.  Awards don't motivate as much as satisfied customers.  On surveys, our customers give us very high ratings.  Our philosophy of nurturing happy, passionate employees results in satisfied customers and global awards.

Technologies

We work within the Microsoft ecosystem of technologies.  We leverage tools like SQL Server and SharePoint for doing our projects.  However, it doesn't matter to us whether you have mainframes, Oracle, SAP, DB2 or other types of data repositories.  We support all enterprise data sources.  It's just that we prefer using Microsoft's tools for accomplishing our goals.
